swiftcover.com wins national digital award

swiftcover.com has been awarded “Best Digital Media Strategy” at the 2010 Drum Awards for the Digital Industries (DADI), an award set up four years ago to celebrate success in digital and online media.

swiftcover.com’s campaign, “The summer’s hottest playlist”, was designed and implemented by digital agency, Steak in collaboration with Absolute Radio. It offered music lovers the chance to create this summer’s “Hottest Playlist” from a master playlist of 75 tracks chosen by Absolute Radio DJs to win a Spotify Premium subscription.

The campaign used a Facebook app to collect votes and announced the winner via social media channels.

Tina Shortle, marketing director at swiftcover.com says, “This was the perfect campaign for the summer as it epitomises our ‘Get a Life’ campaign. Social media is crucial for us at swiftcover.com so we’re always trying to create new and exciting online tactics - the Summer’s Hottest Playlist was at the heart of this, and collaborating with Absolute Radio, Facebook and Spotify really made the campaign come alive.”
