The oldest current production Ferrari design, and it shows in the plasticy cabin and cheap Fiat-sourced switchgear. V12 engine is in a milder state of tune than that in the (cheaper) 575 Maranello, although performance is still towering, and the exhaust note is predictably close to aural perfection. Theoretical 2 plus 2 practicality is, in reality, fairly nominal: even the smallest children would feel cramped in the back. The £170,000 pricetag means that you could have a Ferrari 360 and a Porsche 911 for the same money. Still, if you've got the cash and the inclination, the 456 is probably the most exclusive car on sale in the world.
