Ford Motor Company

Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation and the world's fourth largest automaker based on worldwide vehicle sales, following Toyota, General Motors and Volkswagen. In addition to the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury brands sold in the US and elsewhere, Ford's international brands also include Volvo of Sweden; and Ford owns a one-third controlling interest in Mazda of Japan, and a small holding in former subsidiary Aston Martin of England. Ford's former UK subsidiaries Jaguar and Land Rover were sold to Tata Motors of India in March 2008.

  • Ford Fiesta Series 02 Ford Fiesta. This Fiesta has always been one of the best handling superminis, with a package of mid-term revisions adding a welcome dose of quality to the mix.
  • Ford Focus (98 - 05) Series 98 Ford Focus (98 - 05). There's not a lot wrong with the Focus, hence its continued success.
  • Ford Focus C-MAX Series 04 Ford Focus C-MAX. Ford's first entry into the hard-fought mid-sized people carrier is a good effort, but buyers looking for serious space or more than five seats will have to look elsewhere.
  • Ford Focus Series 05 Ford Focus. We loved the original Focus - one of the most radical mainstream cars in recent memory, and by far the coolest thing to happen to the dowdy mid-sized hatchback segment in the last 20 years.
  • Ford Fusion Series 02 Ford Fusion. The Fusion was orignally pitched as being a rival to supermini-based MPVs like the Renault Modus and Vauxhall Agila.
  • Ford Galaxy (95 - 06) Series 95 Ford Galaxy (95 - 06). Comfortable and well constructed, the Galaxy is a sister car to the VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra.
  • Ford Galaxy Series 06 Ford Galaxy. A seven-seat people carrier is unlikely to induce a warm ownership tingle in anyone but a seasoned minicab driver, but Ford has worked hard to give the new Galaxy a quality edge over more utilitarian rivals.
  • Ford Ka Series 09 Ford Ka. Ford faced a real challenge when it came to replacing the original Ka, which had acquired cult status after more than ten years of production.
  • Ford Ka Series 96 Ford Ka. If you can live with the lack of rear seat space and boot capacity, then the Ka is still one of the finest superminis around.
  • Ford Kuga Series 08 Ford Kuga. It is no insult to say that we knew what to expect from the Kuga.
  • Ford Maverick Series 01 Ford Maverick. The Maverick is a perfectly capable off-roader but it just isn't that exciting to look at.
  • Ford Mondeo (00-06) Series 00 Ford Mondeo (00-06). Still a good car - but it's hard not to feel that its moment has passed.
  • Ford Mondeo Series 07 Ford Mondeo. This is the third generation Mondeo, and the best yet.
  • Ford Mustang Series 04 Ford Mustang. In spite of its familiar looks (especially to anyone who has seen the film "Bullitt"), the Mustang is all-new, and now shares it's chassis platform with the Jaguar S-Type.
  • Ford Ranger (00 - 06) Series 03 Ford Ranger (00 - 06). The drab-looking Ranger is very much a working vehicle, not a "lifestyle" pick-up.
  • Ford S-Max Series 06 Ford S-Max. Think of the S-Max as being the new Ford Galaxy's younger, sportier sister.
  • Ford StreetKa Series 03 Ford StreetKa. The Streetka is a derivative of the excellent Ford Ka platform, designed and manufacturered by Pininfarina in Italy.
