A road safety campaigner in Wales has renewed her pleas for fresh measures to be taken at an accident blackspot.
Sarah
Kendall, from Aberystwyth, stated that a protective barrier on a road in the town has been hit by a vehicle again, reports
the BBC.
Despite the fact that amendments had been made to the road island on the A44, another collision has been
witnessed there.
And Ms Kendall remarked that it is fortunate nobody was there at the time otherwise casualties may
have been the outcome.
"The barrier has now been crushed again. The latest incident happened at about 10:30
GMT and fortunately no-one was on the small island when it happened," she told the news provider.
A review is
to be carried out by the Welsh assembly government following the latest incident, as the body has responsibility for such
highways.
In other car news, Babergh district council recently said that a fresh scheme is underway to make the region's
roads safer.
Drivers involved in collisions may find that their car insurance premiums are negatively impacted upon.
