Car insurance: Training given to children
New training is set to be given to children at Borras Infants School in North Wales on road safety issues, it has been revealed.
Local police officers will deliver the message to the children in the Kerbcraft project, which will look at the dangers seen on the roads, reports the Evening Leader Wrexham.
Co-ordinator at Kerbcraft George Walker noted his pleasure at the development and said he was happy his drive is getting help from the local authorities.
"We have had fantastic support from the transport and asset management team at Wrexham council and the project has gone from strength to strength," he told the publication.
He added that the addition of the officers is great and he likes their "commitment".
The initiative is given funding by the Welsh Assembly and given extra support from the local council.
Recently, pupils in Norfolk also began a drive that should see them warn dangerous drivers about the consequences of bad behaviour.
Drivers caught behaving erratically may find their car insurance premiums negatively impacted upon.
