Youngsters could well benefit from a new road safety initiative that has been started in Scotland.
It is hoped that
the youths in attendance at the Junior Road Safety Officer conference will get to learn about vigilant behaviour on the roads
from an early age, reports the Inverness Courier.
And the participating children should be able to generate universal
sentiments about the roads that parents could benefit from, noted Inspector Jim Smith Northern Safety Camera Partnership manager.
He
told the publication: "We also want parents to be aware that their attitude to driving influences how their children
will behave behind the wheel when the time comes for them to learn to drive."
Mr Smith added that this could
lead to a whole host of more aware drivers who may be conjured up out of the scheme.
Recently, uSwitch.com stated
that drivers may be paying too much for their motor insurance
deals because they are being purchased on the forecourt from manufacturers.
