North Dorset drivers have been given the opportunity to learn more about dangerous driving at a recent event.
The
chance was opened up by Gillingham Town Safer Neighbourhood Team and Partners and Communities Together (Pact), while the emergency
services also attended the drive, reports the Dorset Echo.
One of the days attempted to target younger drivers and
the people who may be travelling in their vehicles.
These consumers were also given advice regarding purchasing
cars and told about any irregularities to watch out for when visiting salesmen. A traffic incident victim was present to
warn of the perils of poor driving.
Furthermore, the second day attempted to highlight the safety angle foe those
of any age, organisers said.
The opportunities arose for members of the public after Pact was informed about the
irresponsible driving of a number of locals.
Preston North End footballer Simon Whaley recently rewarded pupils at
a school in the city after a successful safety initiative.
