Motor insurance: Road safety scheme takes place

Children in the Northamptonshire area have become involved in a special road safety initiative, something that could impact positively on a driver's motor insurance premiums.

In the drive that is assisted by the Northamptonshire Safety Reduction Partnership, youngsters at Naseby Primary School gave advice to their fellow pupils, reports the Harborough Mail.

Folders have been kept by those involved in the scheme so they remember all they have learnt during the awareness programme.

Sue Bradburn, headteacher at the school, said that this is a fantastic way in which to offer help to younger people who may not know a great deal about the roads.

"The scheme is brilliant. The children always listen to other children when they're presenting their ideas so it raises awareness of these issues," she commented to the paper.

A high number of drivers in the Wiltshire area have seen their registration numbers placed on a website for dangerous driving, after it was created by a concerned local.
