A new road safety initiative launched in Suffolk has revealed that drivers in one location are more prone to crashing than
anywhere else in the country.
Babergh district council found that motorists in the area are 28 per cent more likely
to have a major crash than those in other spots of the UK the UK, reports the East Anglian Daily Times.
A spokesman
at the council said that the organisation is looking to "investigate" why the statistics are so much higher than
in other regions.
"It is something we want to understand better to see what it means for the people of Babergh,"
he told the publication.
Such statistics were published as part of the Babergh Health Profile 2007, which considered
the number of incidents for every 100,000 people in the population.
Moreover, a strategic plan from the outfit read
that the numbers are a "concern".
Towns based in the Babergh area include Lavenham, Groton, Sudbury and
Lindsey.
Drivers involved in crashes may find that their car
