Declaration to Us

To be entitled to cover under this insurance you must have:

  1. Paid the appropriate premium.
  2. Read this insurance and accept the terms of cover as far as you know there are no reasons which may lead to a claim under this insurance and you are aware that we will not cover any claim arising from or resulting from, a trip that you take or, any person who you travel depends on, if:
    1. The claim relates to a medical condition or any illness related to a medical condition which you or they knew about before you bought the insurance.
    2. You are travelling against medical advice.
    3. You are travelling to receive medical advice or treatment.
    4. You are on a hospital waiting list for treatment.
    5. You have been given a terminal diagnosis.
    6. You are travelling and have reached your 20th week of pregnancy or medical complications arising from pregnancy or child birth where prior medical complications have existed.

Compensation scheme
AXA Insurance UK plc are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme(FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme, if they cannot meet their obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Most insurance contracts are covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim.
