If you are traveling anywhere else in the world, you must contact Inter Group Assistance Services. Inter Group Assistance Services will provide immediate help if you are ill or injured. If you go into hospital abroad and you are likely to be in hospital for more than 24 hours, someone must contact Inter Group Assistance Services for you immediately.
If they do not, this could mean we will provide no cover and reduce the amount we pay for medical expenses. If you receive
medical treatment abroad and costs are likely to exceed £500, or the equivalent in local currency, you must notify Inter Group Assistance Services. They provide a 24-hour emergency service 365 days a year and you can contact them on:

Hospital treatment abroad
If you go into hospital abroad and you are likely to be in hospital for more than 24 hours, someone must contact our Swiftcover
Assistance Team for you immediately. If they do not, this could mean we will provide no cover or we reduce the amount we pay for medical expenses. If you receive medical treatment abroad as an outpatient, you should pay the hospital or clinic and claim back your medical expenses from Swiftcover Assistance Team when you return to the UK or Channel Islands.
Medical expenses abroad
In the event expenses are likely to exceed £500, you must contact Swiftcover Assistance Team who may be able to guarantee
medical costs for you.
Returning early to the UK or Channel Islands
If you have to return to the UK or Channel Islands under Section 1 (Medical and other expenses) or Section 3 (Cancelling and
cutting short your trip) Swiftcover Assistance Team must authorise this. If they do not, this could mean that we will not provide
cover or we may reduce the amount we pay for your return to the UK or Channel Islands.
Note to all insured people, treating doctors and hospitals
This is not a private medical insurance. If you need any medical treatment, you must tell Swiftcover Assistance Team
immediately or we may not guarantee medical expenses. If you need any medical treatment, you must allow Swiftcover
Assistance and Claims Team or our representatives to see all of your medical records and information. When contacting
either of the above you will need to quote reference number IGCS 1802 along with your name, address, phone number and certificate number as shown on your schedule.
