What is personal injury and rehabilitation cover?
This optional extra can help if you’re injured in an accident in your car. You’ll be offered expert medical care and rehab to help you get back on your feet. Plus, you could get up to £100,000 to support your recovery. You’ll even be covered if the accident wasn’t your fault.
What rehabilitation is offered?
- Physiotherapy
- Chiropractic treatment
- Psychological therapies including CBT
- Cosmetic and reconstructive dental treatment
- Diagnostic tests including MRIs and x-rays
What isn’t covered by personal injury cover?
- Deliberate attempts to put lives in danger (unless it’s to save a human life)
- Injuries from accidents caused by you driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Injuries caused by not wearing a seatbelt (unless you’re exempt from wearing one on medical grounds)
- Injuries that happen outside of your car

How can I add personal injury and rehabilitation cover?
This cover doesn’t come as standard on your Swiftcover policy. But you can add it as an optional extra when you buy your car insurance policy, or when you renew.
