Do I get charged an admin fee for any changes made?

You won’t pay an admin fee for any changes you make in your Swift Space online account – it's quick and easy to do, there’s no waiting in call queues, and you can make the change at a time that suits you.

If we make a change on your behalf, then you’ll be charged a £17 admin fee, so it’s always a good idea to make the change yourself online if you can.

It’s important to know that for any change made, whichever way it's done, there may be a refund due or an extra cost to pay, depending on the change details.

Why do you charge admin fees?

Like most businesses, there are many costs involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

For us, some of those costs come from servicing your policy, such as creating and maintaining your online account and documents, processing your changes, taking payments, and cancelling your policy when the time comes.

The fees we charge help us to cover some of those costs, and we review them regularly to ensure they’re fair and are comparable with what other insurers charge.

What fees are involved when I cancel my policy?

We hate to say goodbye, but if you decide to cancel, here’s what to expect in terms of fees:

If you cancel before your policy starts – you won’t be charged an admin fee and you’ll be given a full refund of what you’ve paid
If you cancel within 14 days of your policy starting (your cooling off period) – you’ll be charged for each day that we’ve covered you for. You’ll then have an amount to pay or be due a refund, depending on what you’ve paid so far
You can also cancel back to the policy start date during this time – if you do, it’ll mean we’ve never covered you and you’ll receive a refund of what you’ve paid.
If you cancel after the first 14 days - you’ll be charged for each day that we’ve covered you for, plus a £30 admin fee. You’ll then have an amount to pay or be due a refund, depending on what you’ve paid so far

When is a late payment fee charged?

You’ll be charged a late payment fee when a payment is late either due to insufficient funds in your account, a rejected Direct Debit, or a cancelled Direct Debit.
