What does personal possessions cover?
It covers belongings that you may use or carry outside of your home worth £1,500 or less each. So, you might use it to cover:
- Mobile phones
- Laptops and tablets
- Cameras, video cameras, and equipment
- Keys
- Jewellery
- Purses, handbags and wallets
- Sports and musical equipment
You can insure most items with personal possessions cover, just as long as you or your family own them, or are legally responsible for them. Items worth more than £1,500 each can be specified separately.
What are specified items?
When you specify an item, we’ll pay more than our usual item limit to repair or replace it. You’ll need to specify items worth more than £1,500 on your policy. If you don’t, they won’t be fully covered.
What if my possessions are with someone else?
If the person with your possessions is in your family or household, your items will still be protected. We can also protect your items while they’re held at a bank in a safety deposit box.
