Bicycle cover

Bicycle cover isn’t a legal requirement in the UK, but it can offer an extra layer of protection. As the UK grows more bicycle-friendly, more of us are taking to the road on two wheels.

Swiftcover’s Bicycle Cover protects you from loss, theft, accidental and malicious damage. You’ll be protected whether your bicycle’s chained to the railings of your local café, or locked in your garage at home. Claims are subject to an excess fee, and limits apply.

Swiftcover offers bicycle cover as standard if you have contents insurance.

• Tyres or accessories unless the bicycle is lost or damaged at the same time.
• Damage whilst being used for racing, pace making, or trials.
• Theft, loss or damage of an unattended bicycle, unless it’s in a locked building, locked motor vehicle, or secured by a suitable locking device to a permanent structure or a motor vehicle. A suitable locking device is one that has been made and sold purposely for this type of security risk.
• Cleaning, maintenance, repair, dismantling, altering or dyeing of your bicycle.
• Mechanical or electrical breakdown. Insects or vermin damage.
• Customs or other officials confiscating or keeping hold of your bicycle.
